Computational and experimental geochemist investigating the behavior and sequestration mechanisms of carbon. I have studied the behavior of carbon (and other volatile elements) in silicate melts and high-pressure crystalline phases of Earth's deep interior. Today, I use computational methods combined with experimental measurements to help quantify the carbon content of agricultural soil, with the hopes of advancing our knowledge of environmental soil carbon measurements and the process of soil carbon sequestration.
